✅Check out what Jessica learned in 8 weeks :
💪"I have the power to change my life, I am in control of what I eat, I am stronger than any excuse, I love my body, I am beautiful. "
She has put in the work, made the life change and she's not stopping there! Check out the rest of her story!!
"I have had the same New Year resolution for years. I was probably in the same shoes as a lot of people, I had no energy, I was unhappy, and uncomfortable in my own skin. I was living a life I didn’t want to live.
📆Each year I was giving the same excuses. “I’m too tired.” “I don’t have time.” “I’m not
Mentally, I was weak. The moment when things got hard, I claimed defeat. As soon as someone offered me that slice of cake or dessert, I reached for it.
Throughout the years I tried different weight loss programs, but I always failed.
In 2018, I went for a routine checkup with my primary care doctor. She informed me that I was pre-diabetic and my thyroid levels came back abnormal.😬
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. That’s something I don’t expect hearing at 22 years old. I left feeling frustrated with no idea where to begin.
🔍I continued trying fad diets and just gaining the weight back. I learned these quick fixes, but nothing that would last.
🌷December 2018, I heard of a 21 Day Challenge I felt this was my opportunity to change myself. I didn’t want to bring the same old mess that I was, into another New Year.
When I first signed up at AF I was nervous, hesitant, and terrified. I am a people pleaser with zero self-confidence.
😙Everything I do is always for someone else. Even though this change was a positive change, I was afraid to get uncomfortable and afraid of what people would think of me.
However, I felt so much love when I walked into the workouts.
💪The environment is so encouraging, supporting, and everyone is cheering each other on. working out helped silence those negative thoughts I had about myself.
The first week at AF, the staff introduced me to affirmations and helped me find my reason why. In the past, I thought affirmations were silly.
However when I put it in perspective, year after year I have been telling myself I am not good enough, I don’t have time to work on my health, and I can’t do this.
😍I believed it. So every day I spoke positive affirmations, I eventually started to believe them. I have the power to change my life, I am in control of what I eat, I am stronger than any excuse, I love my body, I am beautiful.
Thoughts are powerful. I spoke negativity into my life for so many years and it stunted my mindset and growth. This is why year after year I was incapable of accomplishing my goal, because I had the same mindset.
I always thought that the reason I wanted to eat right and go to the gym, was to lose weight. However, throughout my journey, I discovered that my reason became much more meaningful and stronger than just wanting to lose weight. 💥
